Rob Delahay
Managing Director and Co-Founder
Rob is a founding director of AYOS. He has over six years’ experience of working in the sector, specialising in engaging and delivering programmes to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Rob is also a qualified teacher and has a degree in Outdoor Education and Management. He is currently studying an MA in Outdoor Education with a focus on the importance of youth work strategy and practise across sports coaching, teaching and education. In addition, Rob has over 14 years’ experience of working more generally in the youth sector and youth-focused industry. His broad experience has given him exposure to working with young people drawn from a number of different backgrounds, across a range of initiatives.
Kim Mydlak
Director of Education and Co-Founder
Kim is a founding director of AYOS and a qualified teacher with a degree in Early Childhood Management. Kim has experience in working with young people, in the field of education since 2006 and is the lead practitioner for looked-after children (LAC) in her current educational setting. She has a passion for developing Children and Young People and has established the desperate need for more outreach youth engagement and intervention projects across all communities. Her desire is to support and encourage our current and future generations to become the very best they can be.
Maria Bull
Director of Marketing and Communications
Maria joined the team in 2015 with her degree in Marketing. She is currently the Marketing Manager at Minster Micro Computers Ltd. More recently, her vast experience has also seen her become Director or Operations at Aphex Warehouse Services. Utilising her extensive expertise Maria takes an active role in supporting AYOS with their SEO, brand development, web site traffic growth, social media communications and public relations.
Adam Rigsby
Director of Contracts and Procurement
Adam joined the team in 2015 and is currently a Freight Consultant for InXpress, much of his expertise has come from Senior Management roles within the Hospitality industry. Utilising his extensive experience, Adam is able to support AYOS by identifying potential commissioning contracts and available funding opportunities to further sustain their work.
Christopher Spells
Health and safety advisor
Christopher joined the team in early 2016 and holds a NEBOSH General Certificate and IOSH Managing Health and Safety at Work. He has extensive experience working as a H&S advisor and CDM manager for Webley Stadium, Marches BioGas and, more recently, for Capita Property and Infrastructure. Chris is able to advise AYOS on current legislation and best practise as part of their outreach provision.
Kelly Evans
Youth Outreach Activity Worker
Kelly has worked in the outdoor education industry for 6 years and more broadly in the social care side using the outdoors as a therapeutic tool. She is currently at University studying an Early Years foundation degree and plans to further her development specialising with a degree in Integrating Children and Families and then on to become a qualified teacher.
Jon Hunt
Youth Outreach Activity Worker
Jon has a degree in Outdoor Adventure Leadership and Management and is currently studying towards a Masters in Outdoor Education. He is a great believer in how we can use the outdoors and our natural environment to educate and help people of all ages to fulfil their potential. He is happily married with four children and three grandchildren and is a keen photographer.
Dom Byrne
Director of Operations
Dom has extensive experience in operational management and takes an active role in the long term planning and delivery of AYOS initiatives. He is currently studying for a degree in Biochemistry and hopes to stay involved with AYOS in the future.
Ben Robertson
Youth Outreach Activity Worker
Ben has been working in various outdoor settings for the last 7 years and has a degree in Outdoor Adventure Leadership & Management. He has worked with children and young people all over the world from multiple disadvantaged backgrounds and firmly believes that the outdoors is the best environment for learning, reflection and development. He is always cheerful, loves to travel and to stay active.
John Oliver
Assistant Youth Outreach Activity Worker
John began his time with AYOS after volunteering during the summer of 2016 and within no time found himself gaining employment. He has a passion for helping children and young people. As John is a young person himself, he is able to relate to many of the groups we work with. John actively helps us to promote and deliver our outreach projects across the county and is also currently a college studying catering (But, we are hoping he still comes and helps us too!).
All our staff are fully qualified and DBS checked (previously called CRB checking).
